Kai Cenat says he is ready to take Reggie to court.
A clip now spreading fast shows Kai telling Reggie to go to the police with whatever proof he has. Then he goes one step further, threatening to sue him.
The outburst appears to be a response to serious accusations against Kai that are linked to Reggie. They are claims of sexual misconduct, including the idea that exposure on a big creator’s platform was offered in exchange for sexual favors.
Kai mentioned both the police and a lawsuit in the same breath. They are separate processes.
Police handle reports of possible crimes. A lawsuit for defamation is a civil case that starts with a filing in court. Calling the cops doesn’t open a lawsuit.
If Kai does go the defamation route, it won’t be simple. As a public figure in the US, he would likely have to show “actual malice.” That means proving Reggie knew his claims were false or recklessly ignored the truth. Just being angry or hostile isn’t enough.
For now, this is a threat, not a case. No lawsuit, court filing, demand letter, or police report has been made public. No attorney has been named.
The accusations aren’t proven. Kai’s angry response doesn’t prove them false either.
