A young Twitch viewer under the name of Takky showered streamer Caseoh with over 1,150 gifted subs in his last stream. Does this sound familiar to you? That’s because it is: The same kid earlier dropped a whopping 2,350 subs on Kai Cenat’s stream using a different account. Combined, that is over $15K in donations.
Everyone is asking themselves where the cash is coming from. Fans speculate it’s a case of “rich parents, zero supervision.” Others in the community are suspecting credit card fraud. Currently, the origins of the money is unclear but the community agrees that a young kid should not be handling these kind of sums.
Gifted subs are a way for viewers to support their favorite streamers. It’s usually a feel-good thing. But when a kid starts throwing around subs like confetti, it raises red flags.
Caseoh seemed not too concerned though. After the donation he asked his chat to spam some
βWβs in the chat to thank the donator. He apparently did not know that the subs came from the same person who earlier donated huge sums on other channels.
Kai Cenat was the first to experience this sub tsunami. Now Caseoh has joined the club. Both streamers found themselves in an awkward spot. Do they celebrate the support or question its source?
Apparently, our young benefactor posted a YouTube video dissing Kai’s fans. It was quickly deleted, but not before adding another layer to this digital drama. Credit card companies usually flag unusual spending. But if these gifts are legit, it paints a picture of extreme wealth or extreme negligence. If it’s fraud, the viewer will be looking at severe consequences.
For streamers, it’s a tricky situation. Nobody wants to turn down support, but nobody wants to be part of a potential crime either. It’s a tightrope walk between gratitude and caution. Let’s see in which stream the generous supporter will turn up next.
