Chance “Sodapoppin” Morris showcased the winning entry from his community merch design contest during a recent livestream, putting the fan-made artwork in front of his chat for the first time.

At least two concepts were shown during the segment. One was described by viewers as the simple, funny option, leaning on an edgy joke that might get awkward reactions in public. The other featured a large anime-style character and drew praise as the better-looking shirt of the pair.

The winning designer took home $2,500. A separate entry from the same artist reportedly landed a Starforge Systems PC valued at around $2,200.

Viewers can’t buy this design yet. No store listing, preorder page, price, or release date has surfaced. Contest winners also often get reworked before printing, so the shirt that goes on sale may not look exactly like the one shown on stream.

That didn’t stop viewers from immediately asking where to throw money.

Morris has run this playbook before. His merch is known for being wearable rather than plastered with his name, with the purple cat mascot doing most of the heavy lifting as a fan in-joke that still reads as a normal graphic tee to everyone else.

He also has history with aggressive pricing. Past drops came with a “poor” discount code that reportedly dropped the price close to printing cost, with profit only coming from buyers who skipped the code. Whether that code returns for this release is unknown.
