Tyler1 is officially out of EVO. The League of Legends loudmouth took his Street Fighter 6 talents to the biggest fighting game tournament on the planet and bowed out in pools with a 2–2 record.

He ran Modern Guile, leaning on Sonic Booms, Flash Kicks, and classic zoning. The plan worked until the Cammys showed up. Tyler1 reportedly dropped a tight set to a Cammy player earlier in his bracket and then ran into another one in the elimination match, where he lost a close set that ended his run.

EVO pools are double-elimination, so two losses send you home. Going 2–2 means he won two sets before the second loss closed the door. Not a deep run, but not the dreaded 0–2 drop either, which is where a huge chunk of EVO entrants end up every year.

For someone who only picked up Street Fighter 6 seriously in recent months, surviving a few sets in an open bracket stacked with locals, online warriors, and sponsored pros is a clean result. Offline tournament play hits differently than online ranked, and nerves alone bury plenty of strong players in pools.

His character choice fueled some chatter too. Modern controls remain a hot topic in the SF6 scene, and Tyler1 played a fairly old-school, reactive Guile style, heavy on fireballs and anti-airs, light on Drive Rush mixups and the deeper system tools.
