TL;DR
  • Will Neff has left OTK after joining the streamer group in early 2023.
  • Despite early excitement for creative projects like film contests, most never happened while he was there.
  • OTK is still going through big changes with several members leaving and more focus on business deals than content creation.

Will Neff has officially announced his departure from One True King after just a year with the streamer organization. His exit marks another big departure from the increasingly quiet content collective that once dominated Twitch collaborations.

Neff joined OTK in early 2023 with high hopes on both sides. The organization promoted his signing with an elaborate announcement video featuring creative collaboration with Cyr and Phin. Early plans included Neff heading up original productions such as a film festival, short film competitions, and green screen contests.

However, these big plans either fizzled out quickly or never actually happened. The OTK Film Festival ended up being the only major group event centered around Neff while he was there. This lack of creative projects for him lines up with other changes at the organization.

Since late 2022, OTK has seriously cut back on its IRL events and new shows. The group has also started focusing more on business projects like Starforge Systems (prebuilt PCs) and Mad Mushroom (game publishing), while pulling back on team streaming content.

These changes have come alongside major internal shakeups, with cuts to the production team and leadership changes. Several well-known members have left the group in recent years, such as Rich Campbell, Jschlatt, BruceDropEmOff, and Tectone. Yung Jeff also reportedly left around the same time as Neff.

Before joining OTK, Neff had already made a name for himself with creative work in both scripted and unscripted content. His skills as a host and comedian made him a great match for collaborative projects. He previously worked with brands like 100 Thieves and G4.

Neff hasn’t announced any new group he’s joining or what he’s doing next. For now, his solo streaming career is still going strong, and he keeps working with other big creators outside of organizations.
