ExtraEmily was livestreaming through downtown Toronto when a man began following her and shouting her name, prompting a passerby to step in and usher her into a nearby building.
The woman, identified by viewers only as Wendy, reportedly didn’t know who ExtraEmily was. She simply clocked that something was off and guided her off the street and inside, where she explained the situation to the people there.
Once the door shut, the man started yelling outside. Clips from the stream caught him hurling abuse at Wendy for cutting off his approach, with viewers saying he also tried to pull the door open. Building staff were said to step in shortly after.

The location appeared to be near Toronto Metropolitan University, around the busy Yonge-Dundas area. Viewers familiar with the neighborhood pointed out the corner sits in a dense stretch of downtown with heavy foot traffic.
Throughout the encounter, ExtraEmily stayed eerily upbeat. She brushed off the danger after getting inside, insisting the man wasn’t scary or violent, and was even heard saying “bye Matthew,” as she walked away from him, suggesting he’d shared his name at some point. Whether that was a deliberate de-escalation move or just her usual bubbly stream persona is up for debate.
It’s unclear who the man was or why he latched onto her. Some viewers floated the idea of a stream sniper since he allegedly knew her name and referenced Kick at one point. Others reckon he was just someone in the area who became fixated mid-stream. None of it has been confirmed.
No injuries were reported, and ExtraEmily carried on streaming afterward. The clip serves as another reminder of how exposed IRL streamers are when their location is live for anyone watching. Wendy, meanwhile, is being hailed online as the MVP of the entire Canada trip.
