YouTube creator Captain Crunch Boats was attacked with a knife while livestreaming at the public boat ramps at Clear Lake Park in the Houston area.
The creator, who films confrontations with boaters at the ramps, was broadcasting live when someone approached and stabbed him. Viewers who watched the stream say the attacker came from behind. The stream captured him calling out for help.
Before the attack, the creator had been filming a family at the ramp, including children. A dispute broke out over the filming, and during the argument he repeatedly said words to the effect of “I’m just taking some video for OnlyFans.”
The family reportedly wanted him to stop filming and leave. He kept arguing instead.
There’s nothing to suggest any footage of children was ever uploaded anywhere, and authorities haven’t said whether the argument had anything to do with the stabbing.
“Healthy as an ox”
Captain Crunch Boats later posted an update saying he’d survived. “I am safe, healthy as an ox, walking and have since been released from the hospital,” he wrote. “I was stabbed once and sliced once.”
He also claimed police had identified a suspect and were “actively hunting him down.” No law enforcement agency has publicly confirmed that a suspect has been named, that a warrant exists, or what charge is being investigated. Clear Lake Park sits in the greater Houston area, near Seabrook, Nassau Bay, and League City, so the responding agency hasn’t been confirmed either.
