xQc has a new hot take, and this time it’s about dogs.
During a recent stream, Félix “xQc” Lengyel reacted to footage showing someone else walking Hasan Piker’s dog, Kaya. He wasn’t impressed. “If you have a dog walker, you probably don’t even like your dog,” xQc said.
He then explained his reasoning. In his view, the whole point of owning a dog is sharing your life with it. Walking shouldn’t be treated as a chore you outsource. You do it because you want the time with your pet.
The comment was aimed at Hasan, but xQc phrased it broadly enough to cover pretty much every dog owner who has ever booked a walker.
Working from home doesn’t mean free time
Part of the argument centered on Hasan’s setup. He streams from home for long stretches, which critics say gives him more chances to walk Kaya than someone doing a nine-hour office shift plus a commute.
The counterpoint is simple: being in the same room as your dog isn’t the same as being free. Streamers who take long mid-broadcast breaks lose viewers and money, and a recognizable public figure walking a giant dog on camera comes with its own headaches.
Dog walkers are also a completely normal service, especially in cities. They cover exercise, bathroom breaks, and supervision during work hours, and they usually work alongside owner-led walks rather than replacing them.
