ExtraEmily had a close call behind the wheel during a recent Twitch broadcast, with a clip showing the OTK streamer almost drifting into another vehicle mid-lane change.

The footage shows Emily driving while her stream is live. She appears to glance toward her chat display, then starts steering left without a visible blind-spot check. A car is already there. The other driver lays on the horn, and Emily quickly pulls back into her lane.

The audio version of the clip has Emily reacting casually to the moment, brushing it off with a quick “oopsies, it’s fine.” She also mentions taking the car off FSD shortly before making the maneuver herself.

Tesla’s Full Self-Driving (FSD) is a driver-assistance feature, not an autonomous system. Drivers are expected to stay alert and ready to take over at any moment, which is the opposite of what happens when your eyes are on a chat box.

Lane changes are one of the trickier maneuvers in everyday driving. Mirrors, signals, blind-spot checks, and judging distance, all of it usually needs to happen in a couple of seconds. Adding a livestream chat into the mix stacks visual and cognitive distraction on top of a moment that already demands full attention.
