A new leaked video appears to show roughly two minutes of Grand Theft Auto VI gameplay, following Jason on a bicycle riding along a busy stretch of Vice City beach at sunset.
Jason, dressed for the beach, cruises past umbrellas, chairs, huts, and what looks like dozens of beachgoers. Traffic moves in the background, waves roll in, long shadows stretch from distant buildings, and NPC chatter overlaps from every direction.
The location closely resembles the beachfront shown in Rockstar’s first official trailer from December 2023, the same one people assumed would get thinned out for performance reasons.
What’s genuinely notable is where the crowd is. A beach offers long, unobstructed sightlines with almost nothing to hide distant objects behind, which makes rendering and populating it harder than a narrow city street. Open-world games usually lean on tricks here: lower-detail models at distance, slower animation updates, simplified group pathing, and NPCs that only get full behavior when you’re close.
Some viewers argued exactly that, pointing out that several groups appear to move as a single blob rather than as individuals. Others said the crowd looked less alive than the trailer version.
None of that can be settled from a compressed video. The clip also can’t tell you anything reliable about frame rate, resolution, or how the game will run on Series S, no matter how much speculation it triggered.
