TL;DR
  • Ice Poseidon accused of paying for harassment at TwitchCon.
  • Ice denies all accusations.
  • The fight between Kick and Twitch continues.

Ice Poseidon, the controversial Kick streamer, is under scrutiny after allegedly paying people to harass Twitch stars at TwitchCon 2024. This time the target was none other than Twitch streamer Mizkif.

According to Twitch streamer juliakins, who saw the situation unveil in real time, Ice Poseidon hired an IRL Kick streamer named DBR to stir up trouble at the convention. DBR was caught on camera telling people that Ice “made” Mizkif, trying to start beef between the two streamers.

Ice Poseidon, however, denies having anything to do with the harassment. Just yesterday he tweeted a quick denial post saying that he never paid anyone to harass streamers at TwitchCon. However, in the same tweet he did admit to paying DBR 50 subs. A very interesting way to argue.

The streaming community is split over the incident. Some are outraged about the harassment, while others are shrugging it off as typical Ice antics. Paying people to harass others is a cheap move, even for the wild west of live streaming.

In the community, there’s talk about legal implications now. Even thick-skinned streaming legend xQc said in his latest stream that the actions went too far and that police should have been there to stop DBR.

For Mizkif and other Twitch streamers, this is more than just online drama. It’s about feeling safe at events meant to celebrate their work. And for viewers? It was quite shocking to see how far some people will go for just 50 subs and a moment of fame. Hopefully, these types of situations should be avoided at future conventions.
