A long video presentation claiming to show EA Motive’s untitled Iron Man game has spread online, giving the clearest unofficial look yet at the project since it was announced in 2022.
The footage hasn’t been authenticated by Electronic Arts, Motive Studio, or Marvel Games. It should be treated as purported material, not an official trailer.
What it appears to show is a lot. Tony Stark walks a red carpet out of the armor. He builds and modifies suits at a workbench. Iron Man then blasts off, rips through city streets, weaves between buildings, and drops into fights without breaking momentum.
Combat looks like a mix of repulsor blasts, heavy melee punches, slides, throws, and weapons that pop out of the shoulders and forearms. Air and ground fighting seem to flow into each other rather than being split into separate modes.
Several environments turn up: a dense city, a forested outdoor area, an airborne carrier-style structure, and interiors filled with Stark tech. Some viewers guessed Chicago for the city. EA has confirmed nothing about the setting, and the video doesn’t prove the game is open world.
The customization sections drew the most attention. There is an armor assembly screen and a component menu that looks like a grid-based inventory, suggesting parts and weapons may change how the suit plays instead of just how it looks. The main armor has a sharp, angular shape with a diamond chest piece, which some compared to the All-New, All-Different Iron Man comics run.
The video is very obviously unfinished
This doesn’t look like something EA planned to show at a big event. Faces and character models are rough. Some objects lack final textures. Editing cards contain placeholder text, including “Release Window” where a launch period would normally sit.
Here is what actually is official. EA and Marvel announced the game in September 2022 as a single-player, third-person action-adventure with an original Iron Man story, not an MCU or film tie-in. It was in pre-production at the time. Olivier Proulx, executive producer on Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy at Eidos-Montréal, leads the project.
Motive is EA’s Montreal studio behind Star Wars: Squadrons and the well-received Dead Space remake. The studio has also been supporting Battlefield work, which may explain the long silence that led many to assume the Iron Man game had quietly died. It was never announced as canceled.
No release date, no platform list, and no comment from EA or Marvel on the leaked material.
