Streamer Kuma says Twitch pulled his TwitchCon Europe ticket the day before the event, right as he was wrapping up a 340-mile walk to the convention.

According to his post on X, this was his third livestreamed trek to TwitchCon Europe. He says he covered 550 km on foot and spent more than $10,000 to make the trip happen.

TwitchCon Europe is the platform’s big in-person gathering for creators, viewers, and brands, with panels, meetups, and booths. For an IRL streamer like Kuma, getting in is the whole point of the journey.

The walk itself was the content. Kuma broadcast the route live, turning weeks of road, weather, and side stops into a livestream arc that was supposed to end with him stepping into the convention. Instead, it ended with a revocation notice.

Where the $10,000 goes when you walk

Even without flights, a multi-week IRL stream stacks up fast. Hotels, food, mobile data, batteries, backup gear, replacement shoes, the occasional train, and the ticket itself all add to the bill. Kuma hasn’t shared a breakdown of the figure.

Twitch hasn’t publicly commented on why the ticket was pulled. Conventions generally reserve the right to deny entry under their code of conduct or safety policies, and they rarely explain those calls in public.

It’s also unclear whether the decision affects only the event or extends to Kuma’s Twitch account in any way. Based on his statement, only the TwitchCon badge has been revoked.
