Nintendo has set its next Direct for June 9, 2026, and it’s shaping up to be a long one. The main presentation kicks off at 7 a.m. PDT / 10 a.m. EDT / 3 p.m. BST / 14:00 UTC, with a hefty Nintendo Treehouse: Live segment lined up right after.
The Direct itself is reported to run roughly 50 minutes, followed by about 95 minutes of extended Treehouse gameplay. That’s nearly two and a half hours of Nintendo news in one sitting, suggesting the company has more than just sizzle reels ready to roll.
Nintendo hasn’t published the lineup, but several already-announced titles are obvious candidates for stage time. Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave is widely expected to get a proper gameplay reveal and possibly a release date, with chatter suggesting a late-summer or early-fall window. The Duskbloods is also pegged for a substantial update, and many are hoping the Treehouse block features a live match to finally break down its combat and multiplayer structure.
Star Fox and Splatoon Raiders are also on the radar, both previously confirmed and edging closer to launch. A Mario Kart World DLC tease ahead of the holidays is another possibility floating around.
The rumor mill is loud
Pre-show speculation has been dominated by talk of a full-scale Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time remake for Switch 2. Leakers have fueled the fire, with some suggesting it could be Nintendo’s headline holiday title. Nothing is confirmed, and the 1998 classic already got a 3DS remake in 2011, so treat it as wishlist material until Nintendo says otherwise.
Other names being thrown around include a new 3D Mario, Professor Layton updates, Deltarune Chapter 5, and various Pokémon projects. None of these are confirmed for the Direct.
Set your alarms
The June slot is no accident. With E3 gone, early June has become the unofficial industry showcase window, packed alongside Summer Game Fest and other publisher events. Nintendo skipped most of SGF with only minor placements, saving the big swings for its own broadcast. Classic Nintendo.
The Direct will stream on Nintendo’s official YouTube and Twitch channels. Expect the company to use this slot to firm up its Switch 2 software roadmap for the rest of 2026 and likely into 2027.
