Filming in public comes with risks. Usually it’s a photobomb. Sometimes it’s a stranger with strong opinions about your passport.
Worriedaboutmike was recording in central Glasgow when an unidentified man walked up and started an argument about England, Scotland, and Ireland.
The man accused the streamer of “trying to put Glasgow in a bad light,” told him “I’m Irish and you’re over here talking sh*t about Scotland,” and finished with the clearest instruction of the lot: “f*** off back to England.”
The streamer didn’t bite. He stayed relaxed, cracked jokes, and pointed out the obvious hole in the argument: a man claiming to be Irish was telling an English person to leave Scotland. He suggested the guy had come over in bad faith and was simply hunting for a fight.
He also pushed back on the nationality angle, arguing he could just as easily claim Scottish ancestry, and that most people across Britain and Ireland have mixed family trees anyway.
