A recent clip from Mexican Andy appears to show the streamer walking up to a woman on the street, moving into her personal space, and putting a hand on or near her shoulder as she tries to step away.
The woman reacts loudly. She shouts at the group and appears angry and shaken.
Mexican Andy was banned from Kick shortly afterward. So far, there’s no public statement from Kick confirming the reason behind it or how long it lasts. It’s also unclear whether anyone else in his group was affected.
Kick’s rules cover harassment and harmful behavior, including conduct captured during live broadcasts. The platform has built its reputation on looser moderation than Twitch, but it has handed out bans for on-stream incidents before.
The clip has revived comparisons to Johnny Somali, the streamer who built a following on disruptive broadcasts in Japan before facing legal consequences there. The two cases aren’t the same, but the pattern of visiting creators using Japanese streets as a stage has made local reactions to this kind of clip much sharper.
