The Swiss Round two draw for Worlds 2026 is out, and it doesn’t go easy on anyone.
Team Liquid will face Bilibili Gaming in the 0-1 pool. Both teams lost their opening matches.
The 1-0 pool has two all-LCK fixtures. Gen.G vs. Hanwha Life Esports is one of them.
The Swiss stage has been part of Worlds since 2023. Teams only play opponents with the same record.
Round one winners go into the 1-0 pool. Losers go into the 0-1 pool.
Under the format used in recent years, teams need three wins to reach the quarterfinals. Three losses send them home. In recent editions, Round two games have been best-of-ones, because no team can qualify or be eliminated yet.
1-0 pool
- Gen.G vs. Hanwha Life Esports
- LYON vs. Karmine Corp
- MKOI vs. CTBC Flying Oyster
- A second all-LCK match
The winner of each match moves to 2-0. The loser drops to 1-1.
Gen.G vs. HLE is the headline match. Two of Korea’s biggest teams meet early, and only one can stay unbeaten.
Because there are two all-LCK fixtures, two Korean teams are guaranteed to finish the round at 1-1. That opens the door to more LCK clashes in the next draw.
LYON vs. KC is a North America vs. Europe match. Both teams play for a 2-0 start.
MKOI and CFO both arrive with big upset wins. MKOI beat BLG in their opener. CFO beat Team Liquid.
0-1 pool
- Team Liquid vs. Bilibili Gaming
- Top Esports vs. Anyone’s Legend
- TSW vs. Invictus Gaming
Here the winner moves to 1-1. The loser falls to 0-2.
A 0-2 record isn’t elimination. It does put a team one loss away from going home.
Team Liquid’s opener against CFO went badly. BLG, a team many expected to go deep, couldn’t get past MKOI. One of them is about to dig an even deeper hole.
TES vs. AL is an all-LPL match, so one Chinese team is guaranteed to drop to 0-2. If BLG and IG also lose, three of the four 0–2 teams will be from the LPL. That outcome is possible but far from certain.
