xQc has given his version of why Twitch’s old streamer circle stopped hanging out, and he put part of the blame on Hasan Piker.
Speaking on stream, Félix said the group used to run on insults that meant nothing the next day. “We would say outrageous thing about one another and next day we’re playing a game,” he said. “We wouldn’t go, I can’t talk to this guy anymore because he is weird.”
His point was that the fighting was never the problem. The fights were content. What changed, he argued, was that disagreements started deciding who was allowed to be in the room. Streamers got picky about who they associated with, and a single argument could end contact for good.
xQc named Hasan as one of the people who helped normalize that, suggesting creators could get frozen out over conflicts or over who they were seen with. He didn’t present Hasan as the only cause, though. He framed him as part of a wider shift rather than the single reason the group drifted apart.
The other explanation is simply time. The old guard got older, richer, and busier, their audience grew up, and a younger wave took over with Kai Cenat, IShowSpeed, Adin Ross, Jynxzi, and friends. Chats swapped “Poggers” for “W” and “L,” and long gaming sessions gave way to IRL and group content.
