Review codes for Grand Theft Auto VI are reportedly being sent out to critics. That’s the claim from industry insider NateTheHate.

He also says the review embargo lifts one day before the game launches. If true, the first GTA VI reviews will go live just hours before players can buy the game.

Review builds can differ from launch builds. Patches can arrive during the review period or on day one. No day-one patch has been confirmed for GTA VI.

A day-before-launch embargo also says nothing about quality. It doesn’t mean Rockstar is confident or worried. It’s just a date.

With copies reportedly in the hands of critics, fans are already preparing to mute keywords and avoid social media. To be clear, no leaks or broken embargoes have been reported.
