Michael “Shroud” Grzesiek had a strange moment during a recent broadcast after stumbling across a character in IO Interactive’s 007 First Light who looked suspiciously familiar. That’s because it was him.

The streamer was playing through the title on stream when he ran into an NPC clearly modeled after his own likeness. The character even has a short scripted line, delivered in a far more animated style than Shroud’s usual calm, low-key delivery. Viewers picked up on it instantly, and so did Shroud, who looked more amused than anything else.

The cameo isn’t tucked away in some promo build or preview mission either. It appears in the main game, sitting alongside a handful of other creator appearances. Jacksepticeye reportedly has a model in there too, and TikTok star Khaby Lame is said to pop up as well.

For anyone new to the name, Shroud built his reputation as a Counter-Strike pro for Cloud9 before becoming one of the most-watched FPS streamers on Twitch. He’s bounced through PUBG, Apex Legends, Valorant, Rainbow Six Siege, and Tarkov over the years, and he’s still widely treated as one of the cleanest aimers in the game. A shooter-friendly Bond title sliding him in as a hidden nod isn’t a huge stretch.

Streamer cameos in big-budget releases are nothing new at this point. Studios know a recognizable NPC turns into a viral clip the second a creator runs into it on stream, which is exactly what happened here. Some players love spotting them, others would rather not see influencer faces in their spy thrillers. Either way, the appearances are brief and easy to miss if you don’t know who you’re looking at.
