Kim “Peyz” Su-hwan has done it again. The T1 bot laner wiped out all five BNK FearX players on Varus during the closing game of the series, adding another pentakill to a collection that already looks unreasonable.
T1 went into the fight with a huge lead, around 12,000 gold, so the engagement was one-sided before it even started. BFX’s Xin Zhao was already low, Poppy’s ultimate sent two more players flying, and T1’s damage did the rest. Kennen didn’t even need his ultimate. Varus and Yone handled the output, and Peyz got the last hit on every single opponent.
Peyz was on the on-hit, attack-speed version of Varus rather than the lethality poke setup. That means constant basic attacks and sustained damage instead of one big Piercing Arrow, which is exactly what you want when your team is chaining crowd control and holding enemies in place.
According to the stat shared with the clip, that’s Peyz’s 14th pentakill in tier-one professional play. Fan-tracked counts push him to 17 across his whole career once Academy Series and Challengers games are added, though databases don’t always agree on which competitions count.
Either way, he’s at the top of the list. GALA sits second with a reported 13, and Ruler is behind him at 12, and Peyz has done it in far fewer pro games than either of them. He’s also spread the pentakills across nine different marksmen. Samira, the champion basically built for this, isn’t one of them.
Caedrel saw it coming
Co-streamer Caedrel called the play before it happened. Roughly half a minute before the fight broke out, he pointed out the setup: T1 was 12,000 gold up, the angle was there, and someone was about to get a pentakill. He guessed Doran. Close enough.
Peyz nearly had one in the previous game too, but jungler Oner picked up one of the kills mid-sequence, and the attempt fell apart.
Bot laners dominate pro pentakill leaderboards for a reason. Marksmen deal steady damage instead of relying on one spell rotation, they finish targets from range, and they scale into the exact late-game fights where five kills become possible. Peyz, who came up through Gen.G’s academy system before his LCK debut in 2023 and later moved to T1, has turned that into a personal specialty.
