DK support Career turned a late-game fight against T1 with one Renata Glasc play. He survived a near-death moment, then combined Hostile Takeover with Flash to drive T1’s damage dealers into each other.
The match took place on Day two of the Worlds 2026 Swiss Stage. The fight broke out late in the game, around Elder Dragon.
T1 played Doran on Jayce, Faker on Anivia, Peyz on Caitlyn, and Keria on Neeko. Next to Career’s Renata, DK had Kalista and Jarvan IV.
By this point Peyz’s Caitlyn was heavily itemized and one of T1’s biggest damage threats. That made her a prime target for a Renata ultimate.
T1 gives up space
Before the fight, T1 lost control of the area around the objective. Faker’s Anivia was away handling mid lane and may have recalled while both teams set up for Elder.
That left T1 without Anivia’s wall and storm near the pit. Both tools are strong for blocking paths and zoning enemies off an objective.
The fight started badly for Career. Renata dropped to low health, and T1 went for the kill.
Caitlyn chased her with a trap, net, and Q combo. A basic attack might have been faster, but she used her abilities instead.
That extra time mattered. DK’s Kalista used Fate’s Call to pull Renata out of danger, and Caitlyn’s follow-up failed to finish her. Keria’s Neeko ultimate also landed during this exchange.
Caitlyn runs out of escapes
Jarvan IV then dropped Cataclysm on Caitlyn. She used Flash to get out of the arena.
Her 90 Caliber Net was already gone from the attempt on Renata. Now her Flash was gone too.
Career didn’t waste the chance. He combined Hostile Takeover with Flash at close range and caught T1’s damage dealers in the Berserk.
Jayce dealt heavy damage to his own Caitlyn while under the effect. The fight swung hard in DK’s favor right after.
Where was the QSS?
Caitlyn didn’t have Quicksilver Sash, which can remove Berserk. Some argue she needed it or Mercurial Scimitar more than another damage item. Others say Neeko could’ve bought Mikael’s Blessing to cleanse her.
A cleanse wouldn’t have fixed everything, though. Caitlyn would still have been alone, with no Flash or net. Removing her own Berserk also wouldn’t stop a Berserk Jayce from shooting her. Damage she already took would stay too.
