Invictus Gaming has defeated Hanwha Life Esports in Round three of the Worlds 2026 Swiss stage.

The win moves IG to 2-1. HLE drops to 1-2 and is now one loss away from elimination.

The first big moment came almost right away. HLE’s bot lane of Gumayusi on Kalista and Delight on Renata Glasc lost a level-one 2v2 fight against JiaQi and Meiko.

The early lead was small. But IG’s duo kept pushing it forward. JiaQi’s Yunara and Meiko’s Lulu clearly beat their opponents in lane, and bot lane became IG’s biggest weapon for the rest of the match.

With bot lane in trouble, HLE moved its focus to the top side of the map.

Zeus on Olaf got a lot of help. Kanavi’s Qiyana spent a lot of time near top lane, while Zeka’s Lissandra and Delight’s Renata also joined plays there.

What’s next

Under the Swiss format used since 2023, three wins send a team to the quarterfinals. Three losses send it home. Matches that decide advancement or elimination are best-of-three.

IG now has two chances to get its third win. HLE has no room left and must win its next two matches to survive.
