Gen.G’s Park “Ruler” Jae-hyuk has picked his dream opponent. When asked which ADC he most wants to face at Worlds, he named Karmine Corp’s Caliste “Caliste” Henry-Hennebert.
Ruler is one of the most decorated ADCs in League of Legends. He won the 2017 World Championship with Samsung Galaxy and was named Finals MVP. He stayed with the team when it became Gen.G.
He then spent 2023 and 2024 with JD Gaming in China. In 2023 he won the Mid-Season Invitational and both LPL splits. He returned to Gen.G for the 2025 season.
Caliste is at a very different stage of his career. He came up through Karmine Corp’s French-league setup and won the 2023 EMEA Masters Summer title with the team. He then made his LEC debut in 2025 and won the LEC Winter title in his first split as KC’s starting ADC.
So this is a world champion calling out one of Europe’s newest bot lane stars. When a player like Ruler names you as the opponent he wants, people pay attention.
Not a fixture yet
No match between Gen.G and Karmine Corp has been announced. The two teams play in different leagues. Gen.G competes in Korea’s LCK and Karmine Corp in the LEC. That means they can only meet at international events like Worlds.
Even then, both teams would need to qualify and end up on the same path in the bracket. And a Ruler vs Caliste lane would never be a true one-on-one. Supports, drafts, and the other three players on each team all decide how it goes.
