TL;DR
  • Leaked GTA VI footage shows Jason entering a detailed GameStop-style shop selling physical games, consoles, phone cases, earbuds, and headphones.
  • He only has around $19, can't afford the audio gear priced near $199–$220, and a clerk apparently calls him broke.
  • Shelves feature parody titles like Glory Souls II and "We Came Together I, II & III - Remasters of the Remasters," plus a PS5-like console called JoySystem 8.

A new clip claiming to come from a development build of Grand Theft Auto VI shows something fans didn’t expect: a working video game shop you can walk into and buy things from.

In the clip, Jason walks into a small store that looks a lot like a cramped GameStop. It isn’t a fake storefront. The interior is fully built, with tight aisles, shelves packed with physical game cases, console displays, what look like arcade cabinets, a bench, and glass windows facing the street.

The store appears to sell physical games, consoles, phone cases, earbuds, and over-ear headphones, with contextual prompts showing individual products and prices.

The parody products are doing a lot of work here. One console display reads “JS8,” which fans read as JoySystem 8. It looks like a PS5, while the controller seems to mix PlayStation and Xbox design cues.

On the shelves: Glory Souls II, styled after FromSoftware’s fantasy RPGs, complete with a joke publisher name and a fairly obvious crude pun. Another box appears to read “We Came Together I, II & IIIRemasters of the Remasters,” an unmistakable shot at The Last of Us and the industry’s habit of reselling the same games.

Rockstar poking fun at endless rereleases is funny given GTA V has shipped on three console generations, but that has never stopped the studio’s writers before.

Because this is a development build, prices, dialogue, product names, and even the entire store could change or disappear before release. Rockstar hasn’t commented.
