Ice Poseidon just got blocked at the door of a Pokémon store in Japan, and the staff were clearly expecting him.
While livestreaming his trip, Paul Denino walked up to an official Pokémon retail location and was stopped before he could get inside. A staff member appeared to be holding a photo of him, using it to confirm they had the right guy.
The employee crossed their arms in a clear “no” gesture and repeated “no camera.” Denino wasn’t allowed in.
Instead of leaving, he pushed for answers. “Just answer the question, why do you have a photo of me?” he asked, while also asking to see the picture. He reportedly complained that it was an ugly photo of him, an older image that has floated around online for years.
At one point he mentioned he was carrying a “super nice” Charizard card, apparently hoping that would help his case. It didn’t.
The stream kept rolling through the whole exchange, even after the staff member objected to the camera. Viewers noted that a separate camera operator was holding the shot, not Denino himself.
Pokémon stores are packed with kids, families, and tourists buying high-value cards. A live camera at the entrance is an easy no.
